The absence of street names (and signs)
causes problems ranging from minor annoyances to life and death situations.
In the unincorporated areas of the County, the ability of emergency
personnel to arrive on the scene quickly is essential. With respondents
oft time having greater distances to travel in the unincorporated areas
than in the municipalities, any reduction of response time must be
employed.
•
IMPACT: Data an accident locations would be accurate and emergency personnel.
and others would be able to locate street/roads in a more efficient
manner. Street naming signs would be a tremendous asset to the
County in providing emergency services and for the general convience
and safety of the populace. This will result in the saving of lives,
time, and money.
RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve all the road names that were submitted with an
exception to those names receiving concern.
Those names receiving concern were as follows:
STATE ROAD 0 ROAD NAVE
1389 Revere Road
1393 ext.
