90264 . <br /> r. .. <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> This agreement, entered into this day of , by <br /> and between Joint Orange Chatham Community Action, hereinafer referred <br /> to as "JOCCA" and Orange County on behalf of the Department on Aging, <br /> hereinafter referred to as the County. <br /> • <br /> The purpose of this agreement is to outline the conditions under <br /> which JOCCA and the County will cooperatively provide transportation <br /> to Orange County Senior Citizens and hereby formally agree with each of <br /> the following: <br /> SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOCCA <br /> 1, To lease three (3) vans to the County for daily senior citizen <br /> transportation for Southern Orange, Efland and Cedar Grove areas. <br /> 2. To lease the following identified vehicles: <br /> 1979 Dodge van with lift - License No. XR0Z04 <br /> 1980 Ford van - License No. TDF663 <br /> 1977 Plymouth van - License No, PAY387 <br /> 3. To lease four (4) new JOCCA vans (funded under UHTA, Section <br /> 16(6)(2)) to the County upon receipt from the North Carolina Department <br /> of Transportation for replacement of the JOCCA 1980 Ford van and 1977 <br /> Plymouth van. <br /> SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COUNTY <br /> 1. To reimburse JOCCA 51.00 per year for each leased van, <br /> 2. To provide all gas, maintenance, repairs and insurance on each <br /> JOCCA leased van, <br /> 3. To allow JOCCA access to its leased vans, when not scheduled <br /> for use, at a rate of 294 per mile, <br /> 4. To operate and schedule the use of the leased vans on behalf of <br /> senior citizens and approved groups. <br /> 5. To provide JOCCA a minimum of 57700 toward the required match <br /> on five (5) new vans funded under UHTA, Section 16 (b)(2), contingent <br /> upon the vans being used in accordance with the Orange County <br /> Commissioner's transoortation policy. <br /> The term of this contract shall be one year from ,;anuary 1, 1982, <br /> through December 31, 1982, unless sooner terminated by either party <br /> giving 30 days prior written notice to the other party of intention <br /> to terminate.
