Title ! 11 EXHIBIT 8-0 <br /> FY 82 <br /> IMPLEMENTATION PLAN: SENIOR CENTER OPERATION <br /> Indicate Service <br /> iThis Plan should set forth the method(s) and location(s) of service delivery, the <br /> extent of publicity for the service, the extent and nature of coordinated relation- <br /> ships with community agencies involved with similar service efforts. The Plan shoul <br /> also indicate the types of personnel involved in the service delivery, numbers of <br /> hours required and the re4ources (Title iiI or non-Title III funds) to be used to <br /> support these persons. The method of handling any income contributions to the servi <br /> should also be outlined. <br /> Area Covered : Orange County <br /> Method of Delivery: <br /> Orange Count De artment on AginJc will use funds to support a part-time <br /> erector 8 ours and a almost full-time senior center activity <br /> coordinator (32 hours ) , in addition to volunteers and Title V suppor. tf <br /> aides , to maintain the operation of the Northern Orange Senior Center <br /> located in Hillsborough . Specific activities include: developing <br /> necessary formal /informal agreements with various service providers suc <br /> as JOCCA , DSS , DTI , Health Department, Home Health Agency of Chapel Hil <br /> Recreation Department, and Library . Specific activities at the center <br /> will include : home repair, eligibility screening , crafts instruction , <br /> recreational programs , speakers and informational pamphlets from variou <br /> agencies , and tax assistance . An Advisory Council for the Northern <br /> 0 <br /> Orange Senior Center will also be continued by staff for program ideas <br /> aput on improving the senior center. <br /> Information about this Center will be provided through the Department <br /> on Aging' s newsletter and community news media. The Center is also the <br /> location for a congregate meal site to serve an estimated 35 older adul <br /> daily . <br /> Project Income: <br /> Service participants will be allowed to contribute to the program in a <br /> way that will ensure the confidentiality of the contributor. Two people <br /> will be involved in the counting and receipting of the contributions . <br /> All contributions will be presented to the central agency office to be <br /> recorded accurately when received , and accounted for and reported on a <br /> regular basis . Contributions will be deposited and used to offset the <br /> costs of the program on a current basis toward the possible expansion <br /> of Title III services . <br />
