. _ <br /> z!:LeJJ <br /> WHEREAS; Orange County believes that it is important that its <br /> citizens be able to have proper communication with County Offices. <br /> WHEREAS; Orange County citizens in the Southern and Eastern sec- <br /> tions of the County have to either wait for a foreign exchange line or <br /> call long distance to contact County Offices at the County Seat. <br /> WHEREAS; The need to conserve energy will make Orange County <br /> citizens more dependent on the telephone system to conduct their business. <br /> WHEREAS; Orange County spends a great deal of money renting for- <br /> eign exchange lines and on long distance charges. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; that the Orange County Board of <br /> 411 Commissioners do wholeheartedly support any effort to increase the toll <br /> free calling area so that residents in the Southern and Eastern regions <br /> of the County may call the County Seat without incurring long distance <br /> charges. <br />
