OU 1 5� <br /> , ' <br /> CONDITIONS <br /> l, All bids and proposals shall be for furnishing apparatus, supplies, materials, <br /> equipment and/or work and services in accordance with the applicable plans <br /> and specifications prescribed by Orange County. From the date shown above <br /> until the date of opening the proposals, the plans and specifications of the <br /> proposed work and/or a complete description of the apparatus, supplies, <br /> materials or equipment and/or work and services are and will continue to be <br /> on file in the Finance Office at the Orange County Courthouse, Hillsborough. <br /> 2. No bid will be considered or accepted unless at the time of its filing the <br /> hall be accompanied by a deposit in cash or a certified check on some <br /> same sratrust company insured by The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, <br /> 'u/'^ or t of not less than five per cent (5%) of the proposal. In lieu in an amoun o <br /> making the cash deposit as above provided, such bidder may file a bid bond <br /> d <br /> executed by a corporate surety license d deposits the laws of North Carolina to <br /> execute such bonds, all bid bonds, and epnsi s heing further conditioned <br /> under G. Orange County reserves the right to evaluate all bids especially where there <br /> ' is a wide range in specifications or to reject any and all bids and proposals, <br /> and further specifically reserves the right tWmake the award in the best <br /> interest of Orange County. <br /> 4. The bidder and/or bidders to whom contract is awarded must comply fully with <br /> the requirements of General Statutes, Section 143-129, as amended. <br /> 5. In case of default of the contractor, Orange County may procure the articles or <br /> ^ services from other sources and hold the contractor responsible for any excess <br /> cost occasioned thereby. <br /> 6. Payment by check due thirty days after delivery, installation, and inspection <br /> ' unless otherwise specifically provided; subject to any discounts allowed. <br /> *This deposit shall be retained if the successful bidder fails to execute <br /> the contract within 10 days after the award or fails to give satisfactory <br /> surety as required herein. <br /> .'
