<br /> 5. Termination for 3reach. In the event of breach of ,ny. condition ro
<br /> provision hereof, the -,UNT'. snail have the right, by prior
<br /> REVIE41 APPRAISER, to t erminate his employment nereunder and cancel this agreement
<br /> and have the work called for hereby otherwise performed, without predudice to
<br /> any other rights or remedies of the COUNTY. The COUNTY shall have the benefit of
<br /> work as may have been completed up to the time of such termination or cancellation,
<br /> and shall part which
<br /> llbe have been accepted
<br /> y
<br /> compensation.
<br /> 6. Cancellation. Irrespective of any default hereunder, the COUNTY may
<br /> also at any time its discretion terminate the APPRAISER'S emoloyment
<br /> hereunder and cancel this agreement, in whole or in part, and in such event the
<br /> APPRAISER shall be entitled to receive compensation as specified herein for
<br /> all work completed and accepted prior to such termination ar cancellation, and
<br /> in addition an equitable adjustment shall oe made, as compensation to the
<br /> APPRAISER for any substantial amount of work or services performed ay the
<br /> APPRAISER to the date of such termination or cancellation but not accepted by
<br /> the COUNTY,
<br /> 7. Notices, All notices or requests required to be given or made to the
<br /> APPRAISER hereunder shall be deemed to be duly and properly given or made if
<br /> mailed to the APPRAISER, postage prepaid, addressed to him/her at
<br /> Back Porch Lta., 2601 Chanel Hill Road, Durham, North Carolina 27707 •
<br /> . All notices, requests, or other papers required to be
<br /> given or delivered to the COUNTY Hereunder shall be sufficiently given or delivered
<br /> if mailed, postage prepaid, to County of Orange, Attn: Community Development
<br /> Department, 106 E. Mar.aret Lane, Hillsbarou'h, I. C. 27278, or to such other
<br /> representative or aodress as the COUNTY may cesignate in writing.
<br /> 8. Interest of Local Public Officials. No member of the governing body
<br /> of the COUNTY, and no other officer, employee, or agent of the COUNTY who exercises
<br /> any functions or responsibilities in connection with the carrying out of the
<br /> work to which this agreement pertains shall have any personal interest, direct
<br /> or indirect, in this agreement.
<br /> 9. Accessibility. Representatives of the COUNTY, Department of Housing
<br /> and Urban Development, the Comptroller General of the United States, or any
<br /> of their duly authorized agents, shall have access to any books, documents,
<br /> papers, and records of the APPRAISER which are directly pertinent to the
<br /> project to the purpose of making audit, examination, excerpts, and transcripts
<br /> thereof.
