CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING LEGAL SERVICES <br /> IN CONNECTION WITH ACQUISITION OF LAND <br /> By and Between <br /> Hogue and Strickland <br /> and <br /> Orange County Community Development (HUD Grant No. B-80-DS-37-0023) <br /> THIS AGREEMENT entered into as of this OA sd day of <br /> 1981 , by and between Cyrus Hogue and Lucy D. Strickland, a profejnnal / <br /> • partnership practicing law under the name of Hogue and Stricklar - (herein <br /> called the "Attorney") and Orange County, North Carolina (herein sometimes <br /> callea "County" and sometimes called "Agency") . <br /> WITNESSET H: <br /> THAT WHEREAS, the County is undertaking certain activities necessary for <br /> the execution of a Community Development Project, situated in the project area <br /> described below, and; <br /> WHEREAS, the County desires to engage the Attorney to render certain <br /> professional advice and assistance in connection with such undertakings of the <br /> County; <br /> _ NOW THEREFORE, the parties hereto do mutually agree as follows: <br /> 1 .. Scope of Services._ The Attorney will perform all the necessary <br /> services provided under this Contract in connection with and respecting the <br /> Community Development Project Area, Northern Fairview Community. <br /> 2. Character of Work.
