Per a recent meting <br /> with Cyrus Hogue and John McAdams, Consulting Engineer, it has been determined that <br /> up to 20 additional rights-of-way must be acquired with the attendant need of more <br /> searches. Since the present contract limits the work to the original number a revision <br /> needs to he approved as to number and cost (-Piling. <br /> Appraisal Contrgcts--Joseph K. Daley; Fred K. Ruffin; Kathleen K.Buck <br /> Additionally some of the rights-of-way will have to be appraised. Six <br /> vacant lots will be assigned to Ruffin at $50 each; two vacant lots to Buck at $50 each <br /> and five lots with houses to Buck at $75 each (total of $925). Previous appraisal <br /> since April 1, 1981 amounted to $7,381. The $925 addition will bring the figure to <br /> $8,310 as compared to the $15,000 budgeted. <br /> The additional works can be done without adjusting the $5,000 ceiling <br /> specified under each contract. Board action is needed to authorize signature before <br /> additional appraisals are awarded. Note that the agreements are retroactive to. <br /> April 1, 1981. <br /> Note also that only one appraiser's contract is attached for your inspectic <br /> all are identical. <br /> IMPACT: <br /> CD funds are budgeted for the additional, scope of the contract for legal <br /> services. No modifications are needed to appraisal contracts. <br /> RECCMmENDATIONS: <br /> 1. Approve attached legal contract which includes a revised page 4 specifying <br /> up to 120 parcels and a higher not to exceed figure of $19,200 (versus the previous <br /> 100 lots and a ceiling of $16,000). <br /> 2. AUthorize a County representative to sign the appraisal contracts. <br />
