A meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Orange County, North <br /> Carolina, was held at Hillsborough, North Carolina, the regular place of meeting <br /> at 7:30 o'clock p.m., on the 23rd day of November, 1981. <br /> Present: Corahissioner Anne Barnes, Chair, and commissioners <br /> Norman Custaveson, Richard Whitted and Don Wilihoit <br /> Absent: Ccntraissioner Norman iqa - <br /> *************************************************************************** <br /> The following resolution was read to the Board: <br /> PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT RESOLUTION <br /> FOR THE FINANCING BY ORANGE COUNTY OF <br /> THE LOCAL SHARE OF THE COSTS OF <br /> PAVING CASCADE DRIVE (S. R. #1873), <br /> CEDRONELLA DRIVE (S. R. #1874), <br /> FALLS DRIVE (S. R. #1875), VALINDA DRIVE (S. R. #1876), <br /> and CELASTRUS DRIVE (S. R. #1877), IN <br /> CHAPEL HILL TOWNSHIP, ORANGE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA. <br /> WHEREAS the Board of County Commissioners of Orange County has <br /> received a petition requesting the paving of Cascade Drive (S. R. #1873 <br /> Cedronella Drive (S. R. #1874), Falls Drive (S. R. 41875), Valinda Drive (S. R. <br /> #1876), and Celastrus Drive (S. R. #1877), in Chapel Hill Township, Orange <br /> County, North Carolina, which petition has been signed by at least seventy-five <br /> percent (7596) of the owners of property adjoining the said roads, which property <br /> represents at least seventy-five percent (75%) of the lineal feet of frontage of <br /> the lands abutting the said roads, pursuant to North Carolina General Statute <br /> Section 153A-205(c); and <br /> WHEREAS the Board of Commissioners of Orange County has elected <br /> to finance the local share of the costs of paving the said roads, as permitted by <br /> North Carolina General Statutes Section 153A-185(4) and as provided for in North <br />
