Enclosed <br /> your information is a letter from Geoffrey Gledhill to Albert Kittrell, CD Direc <br /> the applicable general statutes covering redevelopment plans, the draft redevelc <br /> plan, and the application to HUD/for funding of the Northern Fairview program. <br /> The Planning Board has several functions. First, the Target Area Trust be c <br /> fled as a "Redevelopment Aree. Next a public hearing must be held to receive c <br /> comment on the Redevelopment(Flan and the Planning Board then make recormendatic <br /> the Board of Commissioners,: If the Redevelopment Plan is amended, another <br /> public hearing must be held and the Planning Board must pass recommendations to <br /> Board of Commissioners. <br /> The enclosed information is provided now in hope that the Board can certifj <br /> Northern Fairview as a "Redevelopment Area" at your October 19, 1981 meeting. E <br /> recommends that this area qualifies as a "Redevelopment Area". The area qualiff <br /> as blighted and meets all definitions and regulations. A Planning Staff survey <br /> several years ago indicated this and Albert Kittrell confirms more detailed ins; <br /> has re-confirmed this. Staff recorrends the Planning Board certify Northern Fad <br /> as a "Redevelopment Area" at the October 19, 1981 meeting and that a public hear <br /> be held as soon as possible for input into the Redevelccment Plan. <br /> /le <br />
