Since I wished to review the 1981 tax assessment, it <br /> was to be based on the 1981 evaluation. I followed the <br /> instructions in the "notice evaluation" and on February 26, <br /> called Betty Sharp in the Tax Supervisor' s Office. I was told <br /> that there had been a large number of calls and that it would <br /> take some time but that I would receive notification to appear <br /> for a hearing. No such notification was received. I now note <br /> that Orange County taxes are coming due and I have not been given <br /> the opportunity that the law allows me to review my 1981 <br /> assessment before paying my taxes. I am clearly in disagreement <br /> with the method evaluation placed on my property as have been <br /> several of my neighbors who have also protested. <br /> Please be served by way of this letter my intention not to pay <br /> taxes levied against me until I am given the opportunity to which <br /> I am legally entitled to be heard on this issue. I have complied <br /> with the methods for obtaining this hearing as stipulated in the <br /> notice evaluation and was not given the opportunity to appear. <br /> If it is possible for my case to be heard by the tax office of <br /> the county commissioner or if there if there has been a <br /> reevaluation of my property since the original evaluation that <br /> would alter my need to appear , I would be pleased to know of this <br /> action. <br /> Sincerely yours, <br /> Andrew S.
