It was
found that the house had only two bathrooms rather than Z/z' I
also felt that the house was slightly overgraded and recommend that
"B + 10" be lowered to "B + 05."
uuy Diurr
Chapel Hill, NC 27514
October 9, 1981
Orange Tax
106 E. Margaret Lane, Room W7
Hillsborough, NC 27278
Dear Sir:
Enclosed is a copy of a letter which I wrote to you on 4 September,
1981' Also enclosed is a copy of the response from your office, which
was written on the back of my letter. I am writing again because:
- ' (1) Your recent "communication" did not answer any of my original
questions;
(2) I spent two hours in your tax office this past spring to find ..
- out' (a) my records were not available, so only a partial review
was done using a computer screen, (b) errors were made in
gathering your specifications, but they have not been corrected
because (c) the person with whom I spent an hour (after waiting
for an hour) was not authorized to make any changes.
After missing scheduled appointment with the Review Board (my
_ fault, an oversight, I apologize), I wrote for a rescheduled appointment. -
My next communication
f your office was my 1981 tax notice. MY COUNTY
TAX INCREASED ALMOST 25 PER CENT!
And no rescheduled appointment was
made. And no helpful information was included in the recent "communi-
cation" from your office.
I am writing to you in hopes of determining what recourse I have
for:
(1) correcting errors in your specifications and
(2) having my tax evaluation reviewed.
I do not think that I have been treated appropriately or fairly by your
representatives. I do not appreciate taking 1/2 a day off work to visit
your office and spend time talking to someone with no authority to make
changes or corrections in my tax evaluation.
If no possible solution to my problems can arise from your office,
I would like to know what recourse I have available to attempt to achieve
a review and/or correction of my dilemma.
^—'
I would appreciate a reply at your earliest convenience,
Sincerely,
/U
/ v/
Michael R.
