The first well should be located <br /> near the property line of Phillip Durham about 750 feet WNW of the NW <br /> corner of the pit. ,The second well site should be near the toe of the <br /> disposal overburden pile at approximately 900 feet east of the NE <br /> corner of the pit. The minimum depth of both observation wells should <br /> be at least 25 feet below lower level of the pit. Mean sea level <br /> elevation should be determined at the wells, and water levels measured <br /> weekly should be related to this datum. <br /> I trust this letter will answer the questions you had about <br /> the quarry's effects on the ground-water conditions.
