This fraternity is a tenant of Fraternity <br /> Housing Corporation, the owner of real property located at the above <br /> address. <br /> In the past (at least years 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979) <br /> Fraternity Housing Corporation has filed its property tax assessment <br /> form each January with the notation "we have no personal property." <br /> • Fraternity Housing Corporation paid taxes in 1979 based on an assess <br /> ment of $76,000 for building and property. Using this figure as a <br /> guide, Kappa Alpha Order wasassessed 20% or $15,200 for personal <br /> property in 1979. Having heard no complaint, the amount was doubled <br /> in 1980 to reach a personal property assessment of $30,400. The fact <br /> is that the personal property of Kappa Alpha Order has a valuation of <br /> only $2,000.00! <br /> We respectfully request a re-evaluation of the personal property <br /> of Kappa Alpha Order and a 1980 tax bill in accordancerwith the aC- <br /> . <br /> curate evaliiWadri: <br /> Since at no time in the history of Kappa Alpha Order has the per- <br /> sonal property had a value in excess of $4,000,.w5_Le_questa creclit <br /> for future years for the amount of taxes paid for the years 1974 <br /> through 1979 which is in excess of a $4,000 evaluation. <br /> Your consideration of the matter is greatly appreciated by all of <br /> the members of Kappa Alpha Order and Kappa Alpha Order Alumni <br /> Corporation.
