CAROLINA <br /> 27278 <br /> •r el... <br /> ILZ ea 7 4 <br /> P, <br /> 41',6) C.:t I■•'''' <br /> ---- <br /> MEMO <br /> TO: Bill Laws, Acting County Manager <br /> FROM: Planning Stafftf <br /> SUBJECT: Clarification of the Fee Schedule for Current Planning <br /> Activities <br /> The Board of County Commissioners set up a fee schedule, <br /> effective July 1, 1981, for certain current planning functions. <br /> (See Attachment A) With the adoption of the revised Zoning <br /> — Ordinance it would be appropriate to clarify the fee schedule. . <br /> The new activities in the new Zoning Ordinance include the <br /> "Class A Special Use Permit" and the Planned Development District. <br /> It would be difficult at this time to ascribe a certain amount of <br /> staff time to either of the new functions. Staff would base a <br /> recommendation on our experience with similar activities in the old <br /> ordinance. <br /> The Board of Adjustment fees were partially based on the <br /> existing special use permits. Since new "Class A Special Uses" are <br /> similar to the old special uses and rezoning applications, we <br /> recommend a combined fee of $180,00 ($60.00 for Board of Adjustment, <br /> plus $120.00 for Rezoning Applications) for "Class A Special Use <br /> applications. All "Class B Special Use" applications can <br /> remain at the $60.00.fee. <br /> Planned Development applications combine rezoning and sub- <br /> division process. Our recommendation is that these fees be combined <br /> to set the appropriate fee: <br /> PD with 1 - 4 lots <br /> Rezoning $120.00 <br /> Minor Subdivision 30.00 , <br /> Plus $5 per lot 5.00 - $ 20.00 <br /> (To $20.00) $155.00 - $170.00 <br /> PD with S - 15 lots <br /> Rezoning $120.00 <br /> Major Subdivision 210.00 <br /> Plus $5 per lot 25.00 - $ 75.00 <br /> $355.00 - $405.00 <br />
