ia. <br /> - <br /> ' <br /> : <br /> 18 <br /> t <br /> and fiscal reporting of the program. <br /> f <br /> - <br /> , During the rehabilitation period, the Authority's Section 8 staff <br /> will receive weekly reports from the Rehabilitation staff which will <br /> provide information on the number of initial inspections conducted, the <br /> number of final feasibility analyses completed, the percentage of comple- <br /> tion of rehabilitation work, and other relevant information. These reports <br /> [ on major program milestones, as well as the Authority's direct involvement <br /> , in preparation of notifications to selected owners and execution of Agree- <br /> , <br /> ments and HAP Contracts, will allow the Section 8 staff to measure program <br /> progress against HUD-approved rehabilitation and leasing schedules. <br /> Participating tenants and owners will be thoroughly briefed on the <br /> conditions under which tenancy can be terminated. During the initial <br /> briefing, families will be instructed to contact the Section 8 staff if <br /> they receive or are advised by the owner that they will receive a Termina- <br /> tion Notice. When the HAP Contract is signed, owners will be instructed to <br /> contact the Section 8 staff whenever they intend to terminate a tenant. The <br /> section of the Contract requiring the owner to issue a Notice of Termination <br /> and provide a copy to the Authority will be pointed out to the owner. <br /> When the Section 8 staff becomes aware of a potential termination, it <br /> will contact both tenant and landlord to make sure that both parties under- <br /> stand their rights and obligations under the Moderate Rehabilitation Program <br /> Owners who do not comply with program requirements will be terminated by the <br /> Authority. <br /> Through spot inspections and tenant feedback, the Authority will be <br /> kept well informed of Contract violations. The Authority will make inspec- <br /> tions at least annually in order to check on the management and maintenance <br /> of the units. As well , the tenants will be instructed during the briefing <br /> to contact the Section 8 staff if problems develop which cannot be resolved <br /> between tenant and landlord. <br />
