uCEmcAxTMcoMrmT 5 a <br /> *7, <br /> f� 4�- ����'� '` ~��^- <br /> COUNTY OF ORANGE AGREEMENT. . <br /> THIS AGREEMENT is entered into this day of August , 1981, <br /> between the Chapel Hill Housing Authority, hereinafter sometimes called "the <br /> Authority"; and the Orange County Small Cities Program, hereinafter sometimes <br /> called "Northern Fairview". <br /> � <br /> WHEREAS, the Authority h A th ity desires to conduct a Section 8 Moderate Rehabili- <br /> tation Program in the Northern Fairview Small Cities Area, financed primarily <br /> through funds made available through the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban <br /> Development; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Northern Fairview desires to assist the Authority in carrying <br /> out this program and has the housing rehabilitation experience and technical <br /> expertise to render effective assistance; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the noted covenants and promises made <br /> herein, the Authority and Northern Fairview agree as follows: <br /> I. Scope of Services. Northern Fairview will use its resources and <br /> personnel (except as set forth in Section III) in a good faith effort to meet <br /> the objectives of the Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation Program set forth in <br /> the Orange County Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program Application <br /> For Moderate Rehabilitation (dated July 23, I979) , specifically: <br /> A. units rehabilitated to include at least $1,000.00 <br /> of eligible Moderate Rehabilitation work items in each <br /> unit as verified by the Authority. <br /> The specific functions to be performed by Northern Fairview in carrying out <br /> the -elements of (I) of the overall program are described in Appendix A to <br /> this Agreement. Northern Fairview shall perform these functions in accord- <br /> ance with all applicable Federal regulations. <br /> II. Term of Agreement. The term of this Agreement shall begin on <br /> , and shall end at the earlier of the following: <br /> A. <br /> (date) <br /> B. whenever Northern Fairview has completed units. <br /> III. The Authority's Obligations, The Authority agrees to pay to <br /> Northern Fairview the sum of $ jar un it for the services render- <br /> ed under this Agreement, according to the payment schedule set forth in <br /> Section IV. In addition, the Authority agrees to: <br /> A. Assist property owner with proposal for Moderate <br /> Rehabilitation Program; <br /> B. Preliminarily screen existing tenant families <br /> for eligibility; <br /> C. Complete Preliminary Feasibility Analysis; <br /> D. Screen proposals and notify owners of acceptance <br /> or rejection; <br /> E. Inform tenants of right to remain; <br /> F. Estimate cost of temporary relocation of tenant <br /> families, if necessary; <br />
