1-5L mr_INLUIS <br /> 565 <br /> NORTH CAROLINA <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> WHEREAS, VANGUARD ENERGY COMPANY (Vanguard) of 7615 <br /> Fayetteville Road, Raleigh, North Carolina 27603 , has offered to <br /> repurchase from Orange County land previously owned by it and <br /> foreclosed by Orange County for non-payment of property taxes and <br /> more fully explained in that offer to purchase attached hereto; <br /> WHEREAS Vanguard has offered to purchase said land for the <br /> sum of ONE THOUSAND TWENTY-SEVEN AND 75/100 DOLLARS ($1,027 .75) <br /> and has deposited same with Douglas Hargrave as escrow agent; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, it is resolved that Orange County, by and <br /> through its governing unit, pursuant to North Carolina General <br /> Statute §105-376(c) , in its discretion will sell and convey to <br /> Vanguard Energy Company a former owner of the property hereinbelow <br /> described: <br /> /All that certain lot or parcel of land situate, lying and being on <br /> the West side of Wentworth Street and known and designated as part <br /> of Lot 1, Block B, COLE HEIGHTS EXTENSION No. 2 as surveyed an' <br /> plotted by F. M. Carlisle, in May, 1947, and which said lot hereb7 <br /> conveyed is more particularly described as BEGINNING at a stake on <br /> the West property line of Wentworth Street, which is established <br /> by measuring North 6° 55 ' East from a point in line with North lin <br /> of School Street and running thence along the West property line o <br /> Wentworth Street North 6° 55' East 100 feet to a stake in the <br /> South property line of Johnson Street extended; running thence <br /> along the South property line of the said street South 85° 48 ' <br /> West 150 feet to a stake in the Eastern line Of the property <br /> formerly owned by Pacific Mills; running thence with the line of <br /> that property South 40° 16' West 88 feet, more or less, to a stake <br /> the Northwest corner of property of F. M. Carlisle, III; running <br /> thence with the line of that property South 82° 51' East 195 feet <br /> to the BEGINNING, (same having been purchased at foreclosure sale <br /> by Orange County at Deed Book 281, Page 1211, Orange County <br /> Registry) , <br /> The County Attorney is directed to prepare a deed conveying <br /> 4 <br /> same to Vanguard, cuilect the purchase price from the said <br /> Vanguard, deduct attorney's fees of TWO HUNDRED FIFTY AND NO/100 <br /> DOLLARS ($250 .00) for preparation of said deed and all time <br /> expended by said attorney in this matter, and disburse the balance <br /> 20LEMAN BERNHOLZ SEVEN HUNDRED SEVENTY-SEVEN AND 75/100 DOLLARS ($777.75) to Orange <br /> >ICC-R.50N.
