Rees, Director of Purchasing & Central Serviceq*~` <br /> DATE: August 20, 1981 <br /> ?E: Purchase of Vehicles Through State Contract <br /> The North Carolina Division of Purchase and Contract has invited .) <br /> Orange County to participate in their purchase of police vehicles' and <br /> automobiles During the budget process, The Board authorized <br /> passenger of four midsized Sheriff's vehicles and one Motor Pool <br /> the purchase » d n:that the County again participate in the State <br /> Contract for the acquisition of vehicles for the following reasons. <br /> A. Whereas pricing information on 1982 vehicles is not <br /> t available, in last year's purchase of 24 vehicles <br /> ye State Contract, the County was able to save approx- <br /> imately $3600'00 compared on ' " d t the lowest priced local <br /> vendor. <br /> B.
