The Personnel Policy states in Sec. 7, page 10 that the maximum
accumulation of leave may not be greater than thirty days. However
under "note" it states that employees with more than thirty uays will
be permitted to retain all accumulated leave until July l , 1979.
Personnel records of the County indicate accumulated leave in excess
of 30 days for some County employees.
2. The intent of this recommendation is to dissipate this leave within
three years.
3. Thirty days after adoption of this recommendation, additional leave
will not be accrued by any employee with thirty days or more leave
time.
4. In the event an employee terminates, retires or dies, accumulated
vacation time of up to thirty days will be paid.
5. A quarterly report of all employees with more than thirty days accumu-
lated leave will be reported to the Manager's Office for the purpose
of compliance with this policy.
+` Upon approval of this change in the Personnel Policy, it is recommended
that the Board of County Commissioners direct the County Attorney to pre-
pare a formal amendment to the Personnel Policy for Board review and
adoption.
