Effective 07/03/81 a P.H.Nurse I position (County Number 0646-2) assigned to the <br /> Hillsborough Office becomes vacant. This position is budgeted for FY '81-'82 and is <br /> essential towards completion of approved work objectives. <br /> 2. The Board budget request continued a presently vacant PHN II - school health . <br /> services for 11 months of FY '81-'82 (starting 08/01/81). This position needs to be <br /> unfrozen in order to implement our planned school health program. If this position <br /> is unfrozen the Director plans to fill it by internal promotion, which would then <br /> leave a PHN I position vacant. <br /> 3. If request two, above, is approved, then a PHN I position assigned to the Carr Mill <br /> Office will be open effective 08/01/81 (County number 0644-1). This is a budgeted, <br /> essential position. This is appealed now because we are experiencing lengthy <br /> recruitment time lags for nurses since we are paying a minimum of $3,000 per year less <br /> than certain other local nurse employers, <br /> 4. On or about 08/03/81 one nurse returns from maternity leave (County number 0642-1). <br /> During the unpaid portion of her leave, Pat Killian, R.N., filled in. On or about <br /> 08/03/81 another nurse (County number 0641-1) will start the unpaid portion of her <br /> maternity leave. This request is to fill the unpaid portion of maternity leave in <br /> position 0641-1 with a substitute.
