Mebane. Durham and the <br /> service area of the Orange-Alamance Water <br /> System which will correspond with the 10-year <br /> and 20-year Transition Areas. Water and sewer <br /> lines should be directed to those areas which <br /> contain and are appropriate for higher density <br /> levels of residential. commercial and <br /> industrial development. (LUP) <br /> (d) Identify (sewer) service by centralized water <br /> and sewer systems (Towns of Hillsborough and <br /> Mebane. Orange-Alamance Water Systems <br /> Incorporated and Orange Water and Sewer <br /> Authority) as most appropriate at the higher <br /> density levels which occur in the Urban and <br /> Transition Areas. (LUP) <br /> (e) Prohibit the establishment of public water and <br /> sewer services in the areas designated Water <br /> Quality Critical Area and Rural Buffer. except <br /> to address emergency situations. (LUP) <br /> (5) gv_idence of Service Capability/Cppacity. <br /> (a) Urban services. including water distribution <br /> and sewage collection mains. are not likely <br /> within 10-20 years. (ZO-4.2 .1) <br /> (b) Water and sewer lines should exist at the site <br /> or be assured of installation as part of the <br /> development process. (ZO-4.2 .4) <br /> (c) Lot size for individual uses shall be <br /> appropriate to the method of water supply and <br /> sewage disposal. (ZO-4.2 .9) <br /> (d) In cases where the completion and development <br /> of the subdivision would require permits <br /> granted by an agency. that agency shall <br /> officially approve by certificate or permit <br /> the subdivision proposal.
