Seconded by <br /> Margison . <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. <br /> (These corrections have all been made) . <br /> AGENDA ITEM #4: COMMISSIONERS BRIEFS <br /> Informational only. <br /> AGENDA ITEM #6: CHAIR COMMENTS <br /> Gail Boyarsky, representing the "Save Duke Forest" <br /> Committee, presented a Duke Forest Fact Sheet <br /> ( attachment to these minutes on pages ) . <br /> Ms . Boyarsky asked that the Orange County Planning <br /> Board and Board of Commissioners direct a letter of <br /> support for the preservation of Duke Forest to the <br /> Duke University Trustees. <br /> MOTION: Best moved that a Joint letter of support for the <br /> preservation of Duke Forest from the Orange County <br /> Planning Board and Board of Commissioners be <br /> forwarded to the Duke University trustees . <br /> Seconded by Pilkey. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. <br /> Jacobs read a thank-you-note from Planning Board <br /> member, Virginia Boland for flowers received during <br /> her hospital visit. <br /> Jacobs noted that Planner, Emily Crudup had <br /> distributed a map and information on the New Hope <br /> Creek Corridor (attachment to these minutes on <br /> pages ) . <br /> Jacobs informed the Board that a special meeting <br /> would be held on October 28, 1987, to formulate a <br /> recommendation to the Board of Commissioners on the <br /> Joint Planning Agreement. Also, at this special <br /> meeting, Marvin Collins would be presenting the <br /> RFP--Open Space Plan. After discussion, it was <br /> determined that a quorum could be present. <br /> Jacobs also reminded the Board of the annual <br /> meeting of the Planning Board and Board of <br /> Commissioners to be held at Moorefields in December <br />
