Barry Jacobs expressed disagreement with the assumption <br /> that 1-40 will not will not significantly alter <br /> commuting patterns from Cedar Grove Township. <br /> 2. Steve Yuhasz and Dan Eddleman did not feel comfortable <br /> with the middle-of-the-road population projections based <br /> on the 1970-1987 growth rate of 1 .25% annually. Yuhasz, <br /> in particular. would prefer using the 1980-87 rate of <br /> 2.96% annually. <br /> Using building permits issued as a guide. the 1980-1987 <br /> rate looks like a fairly stable trend. rising or <br /> remaining relatively stable every year but 1984 . The <br /> number of residential building permits, though, has been <br /> at least double and even triple the number of new <br /> subdivided lots. Furthermore. the majority of <br /> subdivisions have been only one lot. This could lead you <br /> to believe that: <br /> a. New building is occurring on lots of record faster <br /> than new lots are being created. a trend which <br /> would eventually suppress the growth rate; or <br /> b. Much of the new housing involves family members <br /> cutting off a new lot for a relative or putting <br /> another dwelling on an existing parcel for a <br />
