181 <br /> PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br /> ORDINANCE : Zoning Ordinance <br /> REFERENCE : Article 22 DEFINITIONS <br /> ORIGIN OF AMENDMENT: x Staff x Planning Board <br /> BOCC Public <br /> Other : <br /> STAFF PRIORITY RECOMMENDATION : High Middle_xLow <br /> Comment: <br /> EXPECTED PUBLIC HEARING DATE : November 23, 1987 <br /> • <br /> PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT: Article 22 will be amended by adding <br /> definitions of terms used in the <br /> traffic impact study requirements <br /> proposed as Article 13 of the Zoning <br /> Ordinance. <br /> IMPACTS/ ISSUES : The traffic impact study requirements that <br /> are proposed as a new Article 13 of the <br /> Zoning Ordinance contain certain terms that <br /> should be defined within the Zoning <br /> Ordinance. Article 22 will be amended by <br /> adding definitions for the following terms : <br /> Level of Service, Major Intersection, Study <br /> Area, Trip Generation Rates, and Volume/- <br /> Capacity Analysis. These terms will be <br /> added alphabetically . No other change in <br /> Article 22 is proposed . <br /> PROPOSED AMENDMENT: The following terms will be added <br /> alphabetically to Article 22 : <br /> described in the 1965 Highway Capacity <br /> Manual , indicates hQl well traffic moves on <br /> a particular highway facility or through_ a <br /> specific intersection . Mara ara six IeveJs <br /> Lev J of service 9 indicates generally free <br /> movement. Level of service E represents <br /> maximum capacity of the facility. Level F <br /> indicates congestion . Level of service_ C is <br /> considered the design leYel of service, <br /> representing a .f b l e traffic flow and a <br /> relatively satisfactory travel speed . <br /> MAJQR INTERSEC11QN - Any Intersection where <br /> traffic gQngrated by the proposal will have <br />
