Mao
soil test borings were drilled to depths of approximately 18 feet below the
shoulder of the road, approximately 3 feet from the pavement, with a CAE 55
truck mounted drill rig. The borings were drilled on
g the north side of the
highway, approximately 5 feet fran our original test
evaluate roc-like Loring B-1B4, to
conditions repotted during installation of the bore and
jack. We understand the bore and jack operation proceeded from the south end
of the crossing, and rock-like materials were
two-thirds to three- encountered approximately of the way across the pavement.
Records of recent borings, B-2 and B-2, are attached to this
report to verify that partially weathered rock materials do
pardon of the bore and jack crossing at depths on the underlay a
beneath the order of 11 to 12 feet
slx alder of the road. Neither of our previols borings, B-184 or
B-135, indicated the presence of partially weathered rock,
materials defined as
exhibiting standard penetration resistance values in excess of 100
blows per foot, at the test boring locations.
