It is referenced as Lot 6 of Tax Map 44, which is also shown on Tax Map 49. The tract has access to Bushy Cook Road. It is bordered by residential and agricultural land uses. The zoning designation is A-R with the PWII overlay district. The total acreage of the tract is 113.45 acres . 38.53 acres are to be divided into nine lots which average 4 .28 acres in size. The minimum lot size is 1 .87 acres . 74.92 acres will remain in the residual tract. The Planning Board reviewed the preliminary plan on February 2, 1987. On February 24, the Board of County Commissioners approved Timberwood Farms with one condition based on the Planning Board 's recommendation. The condition of approval was that Timberwood Trail be designated as a Class B private road with curves meeting minimum NCDOT centerline curve radius. The final plat complies with this condition.
