Section 2.6.D. too of oate 15 <br /> Change the last sentence in sub-section D to allow Orange County <br /> to initiate amendments to town ordinances applicable to the <br /> Transition Areas. The suggested change is as follows: <br /> Any petition or request to amend these ordinances <br /> received by the County or initiated by the County shall be <br /> referred to the respective Towns_ <br /> It seems to me that the county should not be precluded from <br /> suggesting amendments which appear desirable, as long as the <br /> amendments are processed through the regular town channels. <br /> This revision would just give the County the same privileges <br /> accorded to any other party wishing to request an amendment, <br /> and that seems reasonable to me. <br /> Despite the difficulty of changing a document to which so <br /> many parties must agree, I am submitting these revisions for <br /> your consideration.
