shall be grounds for the issuance of a citation subjecting the <br /> owner to the penalties described herein, and/or the issuance of <br /> an abatement order to comply with the provisions of this <br /> ordinance . The premises at non-commercial kennels shall meet the <br /> following standards: <br /> 1. All enclosures housing animals must provide adequate <br /> shelter. <br /> 2. The food shall be free from contamination , <br /> wholesome , palatable and of sufficient quantity and nutritive <br /> value to meet the normal daily requirements for the condition and <br /> size of the animal . <br /> 3 . All animals shall have fresh water available at all <br /> times . <br /> 4 . All areas housing animals shall be free of accumu- <br /> lated waste and debris and shall be maintained regularly so as to <br /> promote proper health. <br /> 5 . All areas housing animals shall be free of accumu- <br /> lated or standing water. <br /> 6 . All animals housed shall be provided with proper <br /> veterinary care to promote good health_ <br /> C. Standards for Pet Shops . All pet shops , as defined <br /> herein , including pet shops run in conjunction with another <br /> animal facility, shall , in addition to the other requirements of <br /> this ordinance , comply with the minimum standards of this <br /> section. Failure to meet these standards shall be grounds for <br /> the issuance of a citation subjecting the owner to the penalties <br /> 27 <br />
