The Board of Commissioners for the County of Orange , North <br /> Carolina, met in regular session in the courtroom of the old Post <br /> Office in Chapel Hill , North Carolina , the regular place of <br /> meeting, at 7 :30 o' clock p.m. on October 20 , 1987 . <br /> Present : Chair Shirley E. Marshall , and Commissioners Moses Carey, Jr. <br /> Stephen Halkiotis, John Hartwell and Don Willhoit. <br /> Absent: None <br /> ****************************************************************** <br /> The Chair announced that this was the hour and day fixed by <br /> the Board of Commissioners for the public hearing on the <br /> Preliminary Assessment Roll filed with the Clerk to the Board of <br /> Commissioners of Orange County pursuant to the direction of the <br /> Orange County Board of Commissioners and pursuant to the Board ' s <br /> decision to finance the local share of the cost of paving North <br /> Carolina State Road (s) # 1881 and #1794 , also known as Moriah Hill <br /> Road and Timberly Drive , in Chapel Hill Township, Orange County, <br /> North Carolina . The Chair also announced that the Board of <br /> Commissioners would immediately hear anyone who might wish to be <br /> heard on the Preliminary Assessment Roll .
