XIX <br /> Section 774 - Kennel Standards. <br /> A. Standards for Commercial Kennels. All commercial ken- <br /> nels shall , in addition to the other requirements of this <br /> ordinance , 'comply with the minimum standards of this subsection. <br /> Owners or operators of commercial kennels must apply to the <br /> Animal Control Director, pay any designated fee , and receive a <br /> permit to own or operate a commercial kennel in Orange - County. <br /> Facilities shall be subject to inspection during reasonable hours <br /> . by an Animal Control Officer (>r---tom rfrpr4-a e- r�=_FIA.at3. .. <br /> --t-kip—il-,,aT.t-r-o-1 RKc}r ] upon his or her request. Failure <br /> to meet the standards set out herein shall be grounds for the is- <br /> suance of a citation subjecting the owner to the penalties <br /> described .herein, and/or the issuance of an abatement order to <br /> comply with the provisions of this ordinance . The premises of <br /> commercial kennels shall meet the following standards: <br /> 1 . Buildings or enclosures must be provided which <br /> shall allow adequate protection against extreme weather <br /> conditions. Floors of buildings and runs , and walls shall be of <br /> an non-porous material or otherwise constructed so as to permit <br /> proper cleaning and disinfecting_ Temperatures. in animal con- <br /> tainments shall be maintained at a level that is healthful for <br /> every species of animal in the containment. <br /> 2. Cages , kennels , or runs shall have sufficient <br /> space for each animal to sit , stand up, lie down, turn around, <br /> and stretch out to its full length without touching the sides or <br /> 23 <br />
