C. If the written findings indicate that the complaint is <br /> justified, the Animal Control Director [ •r-pe-r-smi. - --au-t-hvor4- <br /> by_ y, ]� tup.�-DcteP] shall cause the owner or keeper <br /> of the animal or animals in question to be notified in writing, <br /> and shall order abatement• of such nuisance within forty-eight <br /> (48 ) hours or such lesser amount of time which shall be desig- <br /> nated on the abatement order _= . <br /> D. If , after forty-eight (48 ) hours or such lesser time as <br /> is designated in the abatement order [et-eitst4en74 the nuisance <br /> is not abated , the animal creating the nuisance shall be <br /> impounded. <br /> XVI <br /> Section -X --3 - Rabies Control . It shall be unlawful and a <br /> violation of this ordinance for any animal owner, keeper or other <br /> person to fail to comply with the laws of North Carolina relating <br /> to the control of rabies . <br /> XVII <br /> Section 7 ] - Rabies Tao and Identification Tag. All <br /> dogs and cats shall wear a valid rabies tag . All dogs shall ad- <br /> ditionally wear an identification tag giving the owner or <br /> keeper' s name , current address and telephone number. <br /> XVIII <br /> Section {-XIX) - Aoolicability to Veterinarians. Hospitals, <br /> clinics and other premises operated by licensed veterinarians for <br /> the care and treatment of animals are exempt from the provisions <br /> of this ordinance except for the provisions relating to cruelty <br /> to animals and rabies control . <br /> 22 <br />
