Minimum dimensions for <br /> compact cars are eight (8) by sixteen (16). Minimum isle width <br /> between spaces shall be 24 feet. <br /> 8) Parking lots shall be setback from all right-of-ways and prop- <br /> erty lines a minimum of 10 feet. Parking lots which exceed <br /> two (2) parking bays. in width shall be provided with a plant- <br /> ing island between parking bays of at least five (5) feet. <br /> (e) Points of Access <br /> 1) Driveway access onto public roadways shall be limited to one <br /> (1 ) per four hundred (400) feet of street or road frontage. <br /> 2) Points of access and egress shall consist of a driveway or <br /> roadway of at least twenty (20) feet in width and shall be <br /> a sufficient distance from another intersecting street or <br /> highway to minimize traffic hazards, inconvenience and con- <br /> gestion. <br /> 3) All driveways shall be approved in writing by the State <br /> Highway Commission prior to issuance of an occupancy permit. <br /> (f) Signs <br /> 1 ) Billboards, roofsigns and any off premises advertising signs <br /> shall be prohibited. This prohibition deletes HC from <br /> Section XXXIII-C-1-(a) of this ordinance. <br /> 2) Ground signs, memorials and entrance monuments shall be <br /> permitted and shall 2not exceed seventy five (75) square <br /> feet in area, eight (8) feet in height or one per lot. <br /> Ground signs must be setback from the right-of-way line <br /> a minimum of ten (10) feet and must meet vision clearance <br /> requirements for safe driving. <br /> 3) Pole signs, flags and newspaper tubes or any sign or symbol <br /> projected on a singular pole shall be permitted. The height <br /> of pole signs shall not exceed 20 feet measured from the <br /> elevation of the roadway directly in front of the sign or the <br /> elevation of the actual grade at the base of the sign, which- <br /> ever is higher and shall not contain more than seventy five <br /> (75) square feet and shall be limited to one (1 ) sign per 400 <br /> feet of roadway frontage or one (1 ) per <br /> ment on the premises, whichever results inm the xleast snumberhof <br /> signs. <br /> 34-C <br />
