SECTION XIX 268 <br /> I-2 : HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT : <br /> The following regulations shall apply in all I-2 Districts : <br /> 1. USES PERMITTED: <br /> (a) All uses not otherwise prohibited by law, EXCEPT THE <br /> FOLLOWING: <br /> Abattoirs or slaughter houses <br /> Ammonia, bleaching powder or chlorine manufacture <br /> Animal black , lamp black or bone black manufacture <br /> Apartment houses <br /> Blast furnace , except cupulas or converters used in foundries <br /> Campground , except as provided in Section XXXV. <br /> Creamatory <br /> Creosote treatment or manufacture <br /> Disinfectant , cattle dip , exterminator, or insecticide <br /> manufacture , but not prohibiting the compounding of same <br /> Distillation of coal, petroleum, refus , grain , wood or bones , <br /> except in the manufacture of gas <br /> Dyestuff manufacture <br /> • <br /> Fertilizer manufacture , including compounding <br /> Fireworks or explosive manufacture <br /> Gelatine , glue , or size manufacture or process involving <br /> recovery fish Or animal material <br /> Gunpowder manufacture or storage <br /> Hotels <br /> Incineration , reduction , storage , or dumping of garbage , <br /> dead animals , offal or refuse , except by Durham County , and except <br /> private incineration of garbage and trash by apartment houses or <br /> industries where approved by the Board of Adjustment. <br /> 61 <br />
