This item was presented at <br /> public hearing on August 24, 1987 . <br /> BACKGROUND: The property is located in western Cheeks Township on the <br /> south side of U . S . Highway 70 and on the north side of <br /> Southern Railway. This 3 . 43 acre parcel is approximately <br /> 860 feet east of the intersection of Frazier Road (SR 1310 ) <br /> and U . S . Highway 70 . It is referenced on Tax Map 28 as Lot <br /> 211 . <br /> The Land Use Plan designation is Commercial - Industrial Ten- <br /> Year Transition. The current zoning of the property is <br /> Residential -1 with an overlay district of Protected <br /> Watershed II in the Seven Mile Creek Watershed . Adjacent <br /> land uses include the railroad, utilities, and industry. <br /> The request has been made for rezoning to Community <br /> Commercial - 111 . <br /> The Planning Board met on September 21 , 1987 to make its <br /> recommendation on this proposal . <br /> The Planning Board recommends against rezoning of the <br /> property from Residential -1 to Community Commercial - III . <br />
