This <br /> item was presented at public hearing on August 24, 1987 . <br /> BACKGROUND: The property in question is located along the south side of <br /> U .S . Highway 70 Business east of N.C. 86 in Hillsborough <br /> Township . It is known as Tax Map 40, Block A, Lots 11 and <br /> 14 . The applicant is requesting a realignment of the <br /> existing Office Institutional (0- I ) , Industrial -1 ( I -1 ) , and <br /> Rural Residential (R-1 ) zones, previously established by the <br /> Board of Commissioners on July 1 , 1985 . The purpose of the <br /> change is to match zoning district boundaries with the <br /> Meadowlands Master Plan land use designations. <br /> The proposed realignment would result in the following <br /> difference in zones : <br /> Existing Proposed <br /> Zoning Realigned Zone Difference <br /> (0- I ) zone 25 .4 acres 15 .81 acres -9 .59 acres <br /> ( I -1 ) zone 62.3 acres 72. 57 acres +10 .27 acres <br /> (R-1 ) zone 22 .4 acres 21 .73 acres -.67 acres <br />
