020 ORANGE COUNTY <br /> and <br /> TRIANGLE J COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS <br /> CONTRACT FOR RESPITE CARE SERVICE <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, entered into as this 1st day of July, 1987, by and <br /> between Orange County , (hereinafter referred to as "Contractor" or <br /> Agency") and the Triangle J Council of Governments, (hereinafter referred to as <br /> "C0G"). <br /> W I T N E S S E T H THAT : <br /> WHEREAS, COG desires to engage the Agency to render certain social <br /> services (hereinafter described in connection with an undertaking or project and <br /> referred to as the "Project") which is to be wholly or partially financed by a <br /> grant from the N.C. Division of Aging (hereinafter, along with the appropriate <br /> auditing agency of the entity making such grant, referred to as the "concerned <br /> Funding Agency or Agencies"), said grant being a Contract for Respite Care <br /> Service (hereinafter referred to as "Grant") and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Agency desires to render such services in connection with <br /> the Project: <br /> NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the premises, and the mutual <br /> convenants and agreements hereinafter contained, the parties hereto agree as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. Employment of the Agency. C 0 G hereby agrees to engage the <br /> Agency and the Agency hereby agrees to perform the services hereinafter set <br /> forth in accordance with the terms and conditions contained herein. <br /> 2 Local Support. In accepting this contract providing for $ -0- of <br /> federal funds and $ 3,571 of the state funds, the Agency agrees to provide not <br /> less than $ 510 of acceptable non-federal cash and $ -0- acceptable <br /> in-kind contributions. <br /> 3. Scope of Services. Agency shall do, perform and carry out in a <br /> satisfactory and proper manner the work and services described in Attachment <br /> "A" (or as described in FY 88 Area Plan) which is attached hereto and made a <br /> part hereof. <br /> 4. Time of Performance. The services of the agency are to commence no <br /> later than fifteen (15) days after the execution of this contract and shall be <br /> undertaken and pursued in such sequence as to assure their expeditious <br /> completion and as may be required in Attachment "A". All services required <br /> hereunder shall be completed on or before June 30, 1988. <br /> 5. Compensation and Method of Payment. The Agency shall be compensated <br /> for the work and services to be performed under this contract as set forth in <br />
