Rental Rehabilitation Contract--execution of the FY86 <br /> Memorandum of Understanding--was approved and Chair authorized <br /> to sign. <br /> 6. Economic Development Commission Preliminary Study Contract--was <br /> approved and Chair authorized to sign. <br /> 7. Lease and Sublease Town of Chapel Hill; Employment Security <br /> Commission--a lease from October 1, 1987 through September 30, <br /> 1988 between the Town of Chapel Hill and the County and a <br /> sublease between the County and the Employment Security <br /> Commission-- was approved and the Chair authorized to sign. <br /> 8. Resolution for Earl Walker Assessment--was approved and Chair <br /> authorized to sign. <br /> G. ITEMS FOR DECISION--REGULAR AGENDA <br /> 1. Environmental Affairs Board Report <br /> Chair David Moreau reported to the Board. <br /> Hazardous Material <br /> EAB requested that the Planning Department be directed to <br /> proceed with identification of areas of the County which are <br /> sensitive to unplanned disposal of hazardous waste. <br /> EAB asked that the Health Department be directed to develop <br /> public education programs regarding the County Emergency <br /> Response Team, Right to Know regarding hazardous materials and <br /> proper disposal of hazardous wastes. <br /> Natural Resources <br /> EAB asked that special attention be given to protection of the <br /> N. C. Botanical Garden and those sections of Duke Forest <br /> located in Orange County. <br /> Water Resources <br /> EAB asked the Board to consider adopting an ordinance requiring <br /> posting of a performance bond on private wastewater package <br /> plants. The Board asked the Interim, Manager to refer this <br /> suggestion appropriately and report back to the Board. <br /> EAB asked the Board to direct the Health Department to conduct <br /> a sanitary survey of County watersheds in 1987 and to repeat <br /> that survey at intervals not exceeding three years. <br /> EAB requested Board authorization to undertake a study of <br /> stormwater management options, the final report to be delivered <br /> no later than May 1, 1988. <br /> s <br />
