Special mention <br /> was made of Steve Law's contribution to the program (formerly <br /> District Supervisor in the department) . . <br /> D. RESOLUTIONS OR PROCLAMATIONS <br /> The Board proclaimed the week of October 4-10, 1987 as "National 4-H <br /> Week" in Orange County and urged "all of our people to encourage and <br /> support the work of the 4-H clubs. " <br /> E. REPORTS <br /> 1. Employee Smoking Survey <br /> Interim Manager, Albert Kittrell, reported on the progress of <br /> the Employee Smoking Survey. The survey was distributed <br /> through payroll on September 18. The committee conducting the <br /> survey will make a final report to the Board on November 2. <br /> 2. Citizen Comment Procedure <br /> Interim Manager, Albert Kittrell, reported on the development <br /> of a centralized internal tracking system for citizen <br /> comments. The system includeds a procedure and a form that can <br /> be routed. <br /> 3 . Information Card <br /> A newly developed information card was distributed to the Board <br /> and its use explained. <br /> F. ITEMS FOR DECISION--CONSENT AGENDA <br /> All of the Consent Agenda items were approved: <br /> 1. Respite Care Block Grant--was approved and Chair authorized to <br /> sign. <br /> 2. Transportation Driver Provision Contract with OPC Mental Health <br /> Center--was approved and Chair authorized to sign. <br /> 3 . 1987-88 Workplan for Re-mapping Project, completion of Phase 3 <br /> and GIS Exploration--was approved. <br /> 4. Budget Amendment--Soil and Water--to include the $12, 000 <br /> appropriation from USDA, Soil Conservation Service, in the <br /> Orange Soil and Water Conservation District's 1987-88 budget-- <br /> was approved. <br />
