1 <br /> ORIGINAL - ORANGE COUNTY COPY <br /> This agreement, made and entered into this 22nd day of September <br /> 1987 , by and between the County of Orange, North Carolina, <br /> hereinafter referred to as COUNTY, and Sarah Rubin, hereinafter <br /> called the CONSULTANT. <br /> Witnesseth <br /> WHEREAS the COUNTY intends to develop a plan for future economic <br /> development in Orange County, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual agreement contained <br /> herein, as well as the financial consideration hereinafter referred <br /> to, the parties hereto have contracted and agreed as follows: <br /> I. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 1. The scope of work is a study intended to provide a <br /> basis for a future comprehensive economic development plan. The work <br /> is detailed in the attached proposal, which was submitted June 30, <br /> 1987 and revised September 2, 1987. <br /> 2. The study will include all necessary research and the <br /> preparation of: <br /> A. A discussion paper proposing an operational <br /> definition of economic development; <br />
