AGENDA ITEM #6 : CHAIR COMMENTS W <br /> _ . 105 <br /> Jacobs inquired about an informational letter requested by <br /> the Stoneycreek Neighborhood Association regarding their <br /> involvement in the Rural Buffer. Collins responded that <br /> the letter had been mailed. <br /> Jacobs also noted that the Economic Development Commission <br /> has hired a consultant for the study which is to be under- <br /> taken in cooperation with the Planning Board . She is Sarah <br /> Rubin, an Orange County resident who is very interested in <br /> the future of Orange County and working with the Economic <br /> Development Commission and the Planning Board. A schedule <br /> will be developed shortly. <br /> Jacobs inquired if Landscape Plans for subdivisions were to <br /> be available. Szymik responded that some of the prelim- <br /> inary plans in this agenda packet were landscape plans as <br /> well . He noted that landscape plans would be available for <br /> future plans . <br /> Jacobs noted that a member of the Transportation Advisory <br /> Board had suggested that the Planning Board go on record <br /> recommending to the Commissioners that a portion of the <br /> five foot additional width on Homestead Road be used as a <br /> bike lane . It was the consensus of the Board that such a <br /> recommendation be forwarded to NCDOT by the Board of <br /> Commissioners. <br /> AGENDA ITEM #7 : ADVISORY COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Pilkey reported that the Board of Adjustment had received <br /> an application for a dog kennel . She indicated that there <br /> was some problem with the plat; therefore, the application <br /> was postponed until the October Board of Adjustment <br /> meeting. <br /> AGENDA ITEM #8: SUBDIVISION APPLICATIONS <br /> a. Sycamore Hill - Preliminary <br /> (Bingham Township) <br /> Presentation by Eddie Kirk. <br /> This agenda item is for the consideration of the <br /> Preliminary Plan for Sycamore Hill Subdivision. <br /> The property is located in Bingham Township on Orange <br /> Grove Road (SR 1006 ) . The developer is proposing to <br /> create six (6) lots from a 15.28 acre tract. The <br /> average lot size is 2.55 acres. The developer is <br /> proposing a private Class B road (Thistle Trail ) to <br /> serve the development. The property is zoned Rural <br /> Buffer (R-B) and designated Rural Buffer in the Orange <br /> County Land Use Plan. <br /> All applicable agencies have reviewed and commented on <br /> the application . The County Attorney has questioned <br /> the following : <br />
