Mills ( NCDOT) <br /> TELEPHONE NUMBERS : <br /> Hillsborough - 732-8181 <br /> Durham - 688-7331 <br /> Mebane - 227-2031 <br /> Chapel Hill - 968-4501 <br /> PURPOSE : Consideration of acceptance of the petition for the Moriah <br /> Hill Road (SR 1881 ) and Timberly Drive (SR 1794) <br /> participatory paving project. <br /> Consideration of adoption of and setting a public hearing on <br /> the Preliminary Assessment Resolution for the project. <br /> BACKGROUND : The Moriah Hill Road and Timberly Drive PPP project was <br /> accepted as a project by the Board of Commissioners on April <br /> 16, 1985 . Moriah Hill Road and Timberly Drive are listed on <br /> the NCDOT 1986-87 Secondary Road Improvements Program. The <br /> project is listed as priority #1 on the Orange County PPP <br /> Program. <br /> 16 of 21 property owners, or 76% of the property owners, <br /> owning 19 of 24 lots have signed the petition accounting for <br /> approximately 4231 feet of frontage or 79% of the total road <br /> frontage. The petition meets the criteria for eligibility <br /> to participate in the program. <br /> The total project cost is $89,067 . 16, and the amount to be <br /> financed and assessed by Orange County is $34,915 . 16 or <br /> 39.2% of the total project cost. <br /> NCDOT has indicated that there is approximately 0 . 16 miles <br /> of Timberly Drive that does not have a recorded right-of- <br /> way. NCDOT must survey the section of roadway and acquire <br /> the right-of-way prior to construction . NCDOT does not <br />
