Town of Mebane Extraterritorial Jurisdiction Limits <br /> The Town of Mebane has revised its Extraterritorial <br /> Zoning Jurisdiction limits to follow property lines. As <br /> a result of the change, all or a portion of the follow- <br /> ing Cheeks Township parcels within Orange County ' s <br /> zoning jurisdiction would come under Mebane zoning <br /> jurisdiction provided the Board of Commissioners <br /> releases the parcels to Mebane ' s jurisdiction : Lot 35 <br /> on Tax Map 6; Lots 4, 18D, 24 on Tax Map 11 ; and Lot 14 <br /> in Block C on Tax Map 23 . <br /> All or a portion of the following Cheeks Township <br /> parcels within Mebane ' s jurisdiction would come under <br /> Orange County ' s zoning jurisdiction : Lots 21 , 37, 38, <br /> 39 on Tax Map 1 ; Lots 8, 10, 11 , 25, 29, 33, 34 on Tax <br /> Map 6 ; Lots 4, 6, 18 on Tax Map 11 ; Lots 18, 25 in Block <br /> A on Tax Map 21 ; and Lot 5 on Tax Map 42 . <br /> The following Cheeks Township parcels would be <br /> zoned Rural Residential (R-1 ) by Orange County : Lots 25 <br /> and 29 on Tax Map 6, and Lots 4, 6, 18 on Tax Map 11 . <br /> The following Cheeks Township parcels would be <br /> zoned Agricultural Residential ( AR) by Orange County : <br /> Lots 21 , 37, 38, 39 on Tax Map 1 ; Lots 8, 10, 11 , 33, 34 <br /> on Tax Map 6 ; Lots 24 and 25 in Block A on Tax Map 21 ; <br /> and Lot 5 on Tax Map 42. <br /> DRAE E COUNTY ZONING OBDJ NANCE <br /> The proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance under con- <br /> sideration are as follows : <br /> 1 . Amend Article 4.3 - PERMITTED USE TABLE and Article 10 . 4 <br /> - OFF-STREET PARKING REQUIREMENTS to allow crematoria as <br /> a permitted use in I --1 , I -2, and 1 -3 Industrial zoning <br /> districts and to establish parking requirements for the <br /> use. At present, crematoria are not permitted uses. <br /> 2. Amend Article 6 . 16. 6 - REGULATIONS CONCERNING HOME <br /> OCCUPATIONS, AS AN ACCESSORY USE, Article 6 .23 . 4 - TABLE <br /> OF IMPERVIOUS SURFACE RATIOS, Article 7. 2. 1 -- ESTABLISH- <br /> MENT OF THE PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICTS, Article 9. 11 <br /> - PERMITTED SIGNS : SIZE, NUMBER, HEIGHT AND LOCATION <br /> OF, and Article 12. 10 - TABLE OF SCREENING REQUIREMENTS <br /> by adding the Rural Buffer (RB) zoning district to the <br /> list of zoning districts covered by each of the <br /> articles. The Rural Buffer zoning district was created <br /> in January, 1987 as a new zoning district in the Zoning <br /> Ordinance. This amendment will add the Rural Buffer <br /> zoning district to articles of the Ordinance that <br /> regulate uses within low--density residential districts. <br />
