REPORTS <br /> None. <br /> HENRY MORRIS stated the Planning Department issued a permit to a Mr. <br /> Martin to erect a 40 x 80 storage building in a residential area. He was <br /> then issued a home occupational permit to operate a business out of his <br /> home. Morris accused the Planning Department of lying to him and giving <br /> out false information. He wrote a letter to the County Manager on May 26 <br /> but received no response. He understands the Planning Department is <br /> monitoring the situation and that the home occupational permit was revoked <br /> as of last Friday. However, the business is still being operated without <br /> a permit. <br /> Marvin Collins stated that the permit has been revoked and the <br /> situation is being monitored. If any member of his staff lied or gave <br /> false information to Mr. Morris, they will be disciplined. There are <br /> standards that must be met for an home occupational permit and based on <br /> these standards the permit was revoked. <br /> In answer to a question from Commissioner Willhoit, Collins indicated <br /> there are no provisions within the standards for the home occupational <br /> permit that addresses the traffic that may be generated by this business <br /> on a road which has a maintenance agreement of which this business does <br /> not participate. The Ordinance needs to be changed to include this <br /> provision. An amendment could be prepared for the November Joint Public <br /> Hearing. <br /> This complaint was referred to the Interim County Manger for investi- <br />
