As discussed by you and Ms. Warren, the Division has begun <br /> arrangements for the Orange County summer youth program. The <br /> attached legal notice was placed in The News and Observer and the <br /> Herald Sun Papers and was mailed to previous Orange County program <br /> operators. Proposals will be due to the Division on May 2, and the <br /> Division will complete operator selection by May 13. <br /> The program operator will be responsible for worksite and partici- <br /> pant selection and all other aspects of the program operation. To assist <br /> the operator in preparation for the summer program, Ms. Warren has <br /> obtained a list of 1987 Orange County worksites and participant levels at <br /> each site. She has also discussed with the two school systems, coordi- <br /> nation of summer youth assessment needs with available school data. <br /> 2. The primary role of the Orange County commissioners in all JTPA <br /> programs will be to recommend, to the Governor, Private Industry Council <br /> members to represent Orange County in RSDA policy decisions. Orange <br /> County has been assigned the education slot and two private sector slots <br /> on the PIC.
