The hearings <br /> would be conducted at 7:30 p. m. in the Carrboro <br /> Elementary School. <br /> Items scheduled for consideration and which would <br /> involve a decision by Orange County as well as the <br /> Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro include the <br /> following: <br /> - A proposed amendment to the Joint Planning Area Land <br /> Use Plan text and map to provide descriptions and <br /> show the location of Transition Areas I and II, and <br /> the Rural Buffer. <br /> - An amendment proposed by Randy Danziger, a Calvander <br /> resident, to adjust the Transition Area I boundary to <br /> follow the western right-of-way line of Old N. C. 86 <br /> south of Homestead Road. <br /> - An amendment proposed by E. K. Powe, an attorney <br /> representing property owners in the Rural Buffer, to <br /> shift the boundary of Transition Area II northward to <br /> include his clients property. The proposed amendment <br /> also seeks to provide a better definition of the <br /> Transition Area boundary as related to Duke Forest. <br />
