The area is a blighted <br /> neighborhood and has the following conditions: <br /> HOUSING: <br /> 22 deteriorated houses <br /> WATER: <br /> Inadequate ( 2-inch) lines serve the entire <br /> project area. All residents are not connected to <br /> the public water service. <br /> SEWER: <br /> Area is served by malfunctioning septic systems and <br /> 8 dwellings have privies. <br /> STREET: <br /> Rencher Street and the No Name Street north of <br /> Rencher are unpaved. <br /> In order to eliminate the above blighting conditions, <br /> the following project activities are proposed: <br /> ACTIVITY _ COST <br /> Acquisition <br /> -- Acquire 45 , 300 sq. ft . of $12 , 600 <br /> right-of-way and easements <br /> for sewer and street improvements <br /> -- Acquire one dilapidated mobile home <br /> Housing Rehabilitation <br /> Rehabilitate to HUD Model $179 , 630 <br /> Property Standards 22 houses <br /> Street Improvements <br /> -- Rencher Street : 1 , 350 l . f . of $80 , 000 <br /> new 20 ' wide asphalt paved roadway <br />
