The proposed section <br /> would be from the Chapel Hill city limits, near Durham, to the highway 54 <br /> intersection, toward Graham. <br /> I have known Chancellor Fordham for many years. He is one of our finest <br /> educators and is certainly one of North Carolina' s most outstanding <br /> citizens. His retirement from the University of North Carolina this summer <br /> will end his era of educational leadership, but not his support and <br /> dedication to our educational system. <br /> I hope you and your Boardmembers will join with me in honoring one of North <br /> Carolina' s best. I very much support the project and would like to see <br /> your support in the form cf a resolution. <br /> My next DOT board meeting will be May 12, 1988.
