172
At its April 19 meeting, the Board of Commissioners
expressed concern over the continued acceptance of
recreation/open space dedications in the Joint
Planning Area, particularly along Phils and Neville
Creeks, tributaries which serve to carry water from
the Cane Creek Reservoir to University Lake. While it
recognized that such dedications could be accepted,
the Board indicated that the issue must be resolved.
RECOMMENDATION: The Administration recommends acceptance of the 0 .253
acres dedicated to Orange County for recreation/open
space. The Administration further recommends that the
question of recreation areas and greenways in the
Joint Planning Area be submitted to the Orange County
Assembly of Local Governments for consideration.
