ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING DEPARTMENT
HILLSBOROUGH 046
NORTH CAROLINA
27278
6•roo .i at
17 / - 5/
4 -F
k
O R A N G E C O U N T Y
INTEROFFICE MEMORANDUM
8708-1816
TO: Geoffrey Gledhill , County Attorney
FROM: Marvin E . Collins,Planning Director
SUBJECT: General Contractor Licensing Exemption
DATE : August 20, 1987
COPIES: Albert Kittrell , Interim County Manager
Gary Lance, Code Enforcement Supervisor
Attached is a copy of an Application for General Contractor
Licensing Exemption used by Gaston County. As we discussed
recently, it is used to record exemptions granted to
unlicensed contractors under the provisions of G. S. 87-1 .
Based on a recent complaint involving an unlicensed
contractor, I feel such an application is needed for use by
the Inspections Division of the Planning Department. I would
like to present the application to the Commissioners,
informing them of the provisions of G. S . 87-1 and seeking
their authorization to use the application in the
Department.
Prior to presenting the application to the Commissioners, I
would like your comments and recommendations regarding the
the application as well as its format and intended use.
